I have a coupon code and can't get it to work?

If you have a coupon that is not working in the main field enter it in the coupon area on the left side of the home page prior to putting anything into your cart, if you do it after it will not show the discount. If you had a coupon you have used before and were able to put it in the coupon field on the left, you may now be able to enter it at checkout. How much will cloth diapering cost?

Though the cost will vary depending on how many and the kinds of diapers you prefer, you can estimate around $300-400. 

Will I really be saving money?

According to Natural Family Online, the approximate cost you will spend on disposable diapers.”

 “The newborn package (up to 10 lb.) contains 48 diapers at $16.23, or $0.34 each. The average number of changes for a newborn is 12 to 16 per day for the first two weeks.

14 diapers x 7 days x 2 weeks = 196 diapers at $0.34 each = $66.64

The infant size 1 package (up to 14 lbs.) contains 104 diapers at $0.22 each. An average baby requires 10 to 12 changes per day for the first three months.

11 diapers x 30 days x 2.5 months = 825 diapers at $0.22 each = $181.50

The infant size 2 package (12-18 lbs.) contains 88 diapers at $0.26 each. An average baby who is three to six months old requires 10 to 12 changes a day.

11 diapers x 30 days x 3 months = 990 diapers at $0.26 each = $257.40…

The total estimated average cost is $2,694.54 for 7,349 disposable, single-use diapers.”

How often will I have to wash?

This too will vary depending on how many diapers you purchase and how often you are changing your little one's diaper.  But you can generally figure 2-3 times per week.  If you wait longer than a few days you will start to notice an ammonium smell, which will linger in the diapers even after you wash.  This will go away aftet a couple times of proper washing.

What are some benefits to cloth diapering?

There are many benefits to cloth diapering your children:

• You will be saving money on average nearly $2,000 for one child.  It is even greater if you have more children.
• You can reuse your diapers if you have more than one child.
• You are saving the environment by not having those diapers go into landfills.
• You can change your child often without worrying about the cost.

How is cloth diapering different than when my parents/grandparents did it?

There are many different options with cloth diapers that were not available when our parents and grandparents were diapering.  Here are some of those ways:

• You no longer need to use pins as you can use a Snappi to fasten your prefold diaper.
• You can purchase all in one diaper that you place inserts in.  These diapers are fastened by Velcro.
• You can use a fitted diaper that is fastened by Velcro.  You can leave it by itself or for a more waterproof fit place a diaper cover over the fitted diaper.
• You no longer have to use rubber pants but instead use a breathable diaper cover placed over either a prefold diaper or a fitted diaper.
• You have options in diaper covers such as fleece and wool.
• They now have flushable liners that let the urine through and catch most of the poop, simply toss it in the toilet.

How do I wash cloth diapers?

Washing Prefolds:
Before you use your diapers make sure you wash and dry them 5-10  times to remove chemicals and to get good absorbency.
The most recommended way is the following if you are not soaking your diapers overnight:

• Cold Wash, Cold Rinse, Extra Cold Rinse:  Use 1/2 cup baking soda w/ wash, Use 1/2 cup vinegar with first rinse.
• Hot Wash, Cold Rinse, Extra Cold Rinse:  Add a fragrance free detergent to Hot Was. Use 1/2 cup baking soda w/ wash, Use 1/2 cup vinegar with first rinse.

Washing Pocket and All in One Diapers:
Each manufactor has different washing instructions.  Please feel free to ask me specifically about the diapers you are interested in so that you do not void your warranty.

How do I get stains out of cloth diapers?

There are many products on the market, but the way I have found that works the best is still good old fashioned sun and it doesn't cost a thing and leaves the diapers smelling fresh.

My all in one diaper is leaking what can I do?

There are several things you can do or keep in mind: my

• How long has the child been in the diaper
• Wash the diaper tight enough around the waistband
• You can place a Hemp liner on the outside closest to the child's clothes followed by a microfleece or cotton liner
• Do I need to go up one size on the diaper

I want to try cloth diapering but don't want to spend lots of money, what can I do?

When will my package go out?

Please allow one day to process your order.  We will make every effort to ship your order the same day. If something is on backorder we will ship what is in stock.  We will also contact you if something should be out of stock when you order it. 

How Much is Shipping?

Flat rate shipping of $5.00 on all orders from $0.01 - $49.99.*  If you would like your order to ship next day, 2 or 3 Day or via UPS please email us at kristin@mybabypumpkin.com and we will invoice the remainder of your shipping cost.

FREE SHIPPING! Free shiping on all orders over $50.00. We reserve the right to add extra shipping on heavy items such as prefolds.*

*Flat Rate and Free shipping applies to US Customers only, for international shipping you will receive an invoice of actual shipping costs. 

How will order Ship?

Orders over $50.00 ship for FREE via USPS First Class, USPS Priority mail or UPS Ground (We currently only ship to US, Canada, APO and FPO).  Shipping does not take into account any duties that may or may not be due upon receipt and these fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

If you are in need of a shipping upgrade, you will receive an invoice for the difference.

Do you ship Internationally?

We currently ship to most countries.  If you would like to know if we ship to your country please email me at kristin@mybabypumpkin.com

You will be charged actual shipping and will receive a separate invoice for the shipping costs.  If your order is under $50 the flat rate fee will be added and I will adjust your shipping accordingly.

To get a shipping quote please email what you would like to order and I will let you know the cost. 

Shipping does not take into account any duties that may or may not be due upon receipt and these fees will be the responsibility of the customer.  

Please keep in mind some of our companies do not let us ship outside of the US, such as bumGenius, Bummis.

How do I return/exchange something?

At My Baby Pumpkin, we stand behind our merchandise 100%.

When returning items:

1. All returned items must be in the original packaging within 30 days of purchase.
2. Any items returned for reasons other than defects must be unwashed and unused and in the original packaging.
3. We will not give a credit or refund for used merchandise.
4. If you have received a defective item from us, return the item and a copy of your invoice. Please inform us which you prefer: a replacement item or a refund for the defective merchandise.
5.  Customer is responsible for return shipping cost.
6.  If you received free shipping, the cost of shipping will be taken out of your credit.  If you are exchanging and received free shipping you will receive an invoice for the cost of shipping the new items to you.
7.  Flat rate shipping is not refundable.

My package was damaged in shipping, what do I do?

Though this has yet to ever happen, If your package was damaged.

For orders that are damaged in shipping: Please notify us immediately so we can take the proper steps to replace the damaged merchandise.

Do you offer Layaway?

We do offer layaway.

• We understand that startup costs for cloth diapers can be expensive, that is why we are introducing layaway.
• The minimum order is $100.
• When you place your order use the coupon code: layaway and 75% of your total will be taken off. 
• We will take the items you have selected out of stock and save them for you.
• The rest of your bill will be made in 2 installments.  The first installment will be 30 days after your initial purchase.  The final installment will be 60 days after your initial purchase.  You will receive a paypal invoice for these payments.
• If you do not make payment within one week of the invoice our order will be cancelled and a 10% restocking fee will be charged.
• By selecting layaway you have agreed to these terms.

Do you still have your Rewards Program?

Yes we do but it has now changed slightly.  Though for those of you that were part of it before you will be grandfathered into the system if you would like to know how please email me direct at kristin@mybabypumpkin.com

• For every dollar you purchase you will receive 1 point.
• Once you reach 400 points, you will receive a $20 gift certificate.
• After 400 points, you will receive a $5 gift certificate for every 100 points you earn.
• You can earn additional money towards your items by joining our affiliate program and for every thing purchase you will receive 1% back. 
• You may use your gift certificates as you get them or save them to use at once.

These Terms of Use will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin to the exclusion of any other law which may be imputed in accordance with choice of law rules applicable in any jurisdiction. The 1980 U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods or any successor thereto does not apply to these Terms of Use. For any suit or claim pertaining to these Terms of Use or any information furnished hereunder, You irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of any state or federal court sitting in Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA, and You will not commence an action or proceeding relating to the subject matter of these Terms of Use in any other jurisdiction.

8.4 Independent Contractor. These Terms of Use will not be interpreted or construed to create or evidence a partnership, joint venture or franchise relationship among the parties or as imposing any partnership or franchiser obligation or liability on either party.

8.5 Compliance With Laws. You will comply at Your own expense with all statutes, regulations, rules, ordinances and orders of any governmental body, department or agency that apply to or result from Your use of Our Site.

8.6. Severability. If any provision of these Terms of Use will be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed severable from and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
